Dr. Jeeva's speaking schedule
Dr. Shabeer Ahmed Jeeva was born in South Africa and attended medical school at The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland between 1970 and 1976.
Dr. Jeeva's professional experience and accreditations include : Psychiatric residency at the University of Ottawa, Canada (1979-1984), Child Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Ottawa, Diploma in Psychiatry (University of Ottawa), F.R.C.P. (Canada) 1983, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Canada (1983). He has 22 years experience practicing child and adult psychiatry. His other interests include depression, anxiety, psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, executive burnout syndrome and family therapy.
Dr Jeeva has a strong interest in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), especially Adult ADHD.
Dr Jeeva has been the co-ordinator of Regional Psychiatric Education in Canada since 1993, enjoys teaching and consulting with family doctors and colleagues on various aspects of psychiatry.
In 2005, Dr. Jeeva returned to practice psychiatry in South Africa.
Licensed to practice both in Canada and South Africa, Dr Jeeva currently has practices in Mississauga, Canada and Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dr. Jeeva's association memberships include The Canadian Psychiatric Association, The Ontario Medical Association, Director of the Youth Services Bureau, The American Psychiatric Association, The South African Medical and Dental Council and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
